Steam getting rid of hentai games (esepcially child hentai.) is not censorship and is within their rights.

This is regarding the recent controversy around steam banning hentai games, targeting those with girls in high school or younger (including lolis)Steam is a games company, not a porn company. They don't have to sell every shitty hentai cash grab that is pitched to them through direct. It isn't censorship to not sell porn, if that were the case pretty much every company under the sun that doesn't sell porn can be called "oppressive censorers" (Direct quote from a youtube comment.)To the people who say "Reeee why don't we censor violence too?!". The reason is that pornographic content (What the weebs jerk off to), and violent videogames stimulate vastly different parts of the brain. It simply is not the same. The only people who actually want this shit to stay are either people who are: Ill informed, weebs who jerk off to "Nep Nep"(Neptunia as a child. Very shitty hentai series.) and "Nekopara" (both contain child hentai), Only freaks SHOULD care about this. I personally hope Valve goes through with this."As long as it's not hurting real people I'm fine with it." While this is simply subjective, you are an enabler of people who are provably into children, We're referring to the lolicons here, as that's generally where this one's leveled. You may be fine with it but it's still wrong to be into kids.TL:DR Steam is not a porn company, they don't have to sell porn. This isn't censorship, and they don't have double standards for not banning violent games because porn and violent games stimulate different sections of the brain. via /r/unpopularopinion https://ift.tt/2B8R7wJ
